These
pictures are screen captures from the Gamecube game Day of Reckoning
2. This was my first time making my characters in a video game,
and having them fight each other was great. It's been so enjoyable
watching them come to life. |
 |
Davon's front profile picture. |
 |
Davon's profile picture from the side. |
 |
Solan's front profile picture. I was
very pleased with how perfectly Solan turned out in this game.
I love his gold eyes. |
 |
Solan's three quarter view. |
 |
Thanatos's profile front. I love how
well he turned out. This is what he'd look like if he were real. |
 |
Thanatos's side profile pic. That's one
mean chin he's got. |
 |
Owen's front profile. I can't believe
how well Owen turned out. It's possible he's the best one since
he looks just like himself. He's got that mean nasty scary look
he has even if he's in a good mood. The long thin face with the
sunken cheeks, the icy bright blue eyes...yes it's all there.
I even got his fire in. |
 |
Owen from the side. |
 |
Solan and Davon in a victory pose. I
love this picture of the two together. They're so pleased at
having kicked some butt. |
 |
Owen's victory pose. He's all smug and
cocky as he throws his head back and stands over his defeated
opponent. |
 |
This is what happens to you if you insult
Thagirion in front of Solan. I love this screen cap of Solan
taking down Owen. Owen's in for a world of hurt. |
|
The next
five screen caps are from The Godfather for PS2. I really enjoyed
this game and getting to see Solan's handsome face for so long
really made the game enjoyable. I tried to make Davon in this
since he'd make a great Don, but I couldn't because the lead
character was in his early 20s. Davon didn't look right as a
young man. But Solan was perfect for the part especially since
the character was so loyal. The voice was even fairly close. |
 |
Here we've got Solan looking good, burning
down a rival's mansion and sporting a sweet Tommy Gun. |
 |
A very nice close up of Solan. In the
game he had green eyes. They were the closest thing to gold they
had. I touched them up in photoshop and made them the proper
gold they're supposed to be. I think the results turned out very
well indeed. |
 |
I love this close up. Solan's gold eyes
are so wild and bright. He looks so good here. Definitely one
of my faves. |
 |
I was amazed when he took this pose in
the game. This is the pose he takes when he shows respect to
Davon. He places his right fist over his chest and takes a shallow
bow. Here he was angry when he did it, but he did it none the
less. I have a figure of Ra that is also in this pose and it's
some thing I had to get since he used to be Ra. |
 |
This is the scene after Solan becomes
Don. He's so handsome here and in control. I love that look!
This is my favorite screen cap over all. So many nice ones but
if I had to pick one from all of them this would be it. |
 |
Yes, I'm one of those Harry Potter fans.
Don't like it? Too bad! I made a four part set with each of my
bad boys as teachers or heads of each house. Here we have Davon
in Griffindor. This is the darkest of the four pieces and I'm
very happy with how the colors turned out. Despite it being dark
they are still bright some how. I love that type of effect. I
imagine this being Davon's office hours when students can come
and ask him for help on stuff they may not have understood. But
from the looks of it would you ask him for help? I forsee his
office hours being quite dead and a time for him to relax. Davon
can more than give Snape a run for his money. |
 |
Owen in Slytherin. Owen is the perfect
Slytherin. He wouldn't fit anywhere else with that 'better than
you' attitude. I find that I really love the look of winter scenes
and this was the first time I drew one. I love the contrast of
blues and greens which are my favorite colors. It's neat how
the wind is blowing Owen's fire around and it's funny to see
him holding a wand. This was also a good excuse to get them out
of their usual outfits and into something different and kinda
fancy. |
 |
Solan is the perfect Hufflepuff. He's
loyal and can be caring when not doing Davon's bidding. Of the
three teachers he'd be the most approchable and probably have
a very friendly and well... sunny disposition. With this drawing
I had a lot of fun coloring the bricks. I like the way the lighting
turned out in this, as well as the flow of his outfit. It's great
that the Hufflepuff colors already are the colors Solan normally
wears anyway. And the snow was fun to color too. |
 |
That means Thanatos is left with Ravenclaw.
Again the colors are appropriate with his usual wardrobe. I had
fun giving him a real raven as a pet. It was fun to color especially
giving it the red eye. I also enjoyed coloring the window glass
and like the way that turned out. |
 |
This is a drawing I made for my friend
Kitora. It's a scene from an RP we played and her character Elena
has just shot Solan in the shoulder. Long story, but it was a
good one. I did do a bit of a rush job on this so it's not one
of my better drawings. |

This is the first of a two part series
I did where I wanted to show Owen Pained by his fire.
Now mind you the fire isn't physically hurting him. He doesn't
feel it at all. It's like having hair for him. But he does this
to himself. He refuses to accept his fire and hates it. He thinks
it's ruinned his life. He can't go into buildings, sleep on a
bed, get close to people because of his fire. He has to wear
the clear metal helmet to be able to do that and that also makes
him stand out. He should be glad that one of his own inventions
is helping him to lead a normal life but he hates it too thinking
he shouldn't have to wear it because he never should have had
the fire. He'd like nothing better than to put it out but he
can't because if he does he'll die. On top of that he's got Thagirion
chasing him wanting the fire back that he thinks Owen stole.
Owen would love to give it back, but he can't so he's on the
run. He gets into that circular thinking, "If I didn't have
this fire I could be normal, but if I get rid of it I'd die.
I don't want to die but I can't lead a normal life..." So
he keeps saying that over and over. Despite being strong sometimes
he will break down like this. |
 |
This is part two of the two part Owen
Pained series. The same thing is happening to Owen here as
above, but this time he's not wearing his helmet. His fire always
mirrors his emotions which is why even if he had the perfect
poker face his fire would give away his true feelings every time.
He's in that distressed loathing stage again over his fire and
because he's so enraged it's basically erupting out of his head.
These break downs are very rare for him, and he would only get
like this if he were alone. If anyone walked in on him now, he'd
quickly compose himself and act as if everything were fine. |

This drawing is called The Four Bad
Boys and is one of my favorites. Here we have Davon, Solan,
Thanatos and Owen at a hypothetical company party. I don't think
this would really happy since Owen wouldn't be so out of character
and happy but it was nice to put them all of them together like
this despite them being from two companies that have an uneasy
partnership. Everyone's acting so differently. Thanatos loves
parties and he's having a great time, but probably still talking
business with Davon. Davon's not really listening to him. He's
got his eyes on Owen's fire which he so badly wants to get back
from him. When Owen heard this was a fairly formal party he took
it to mean completely formal and went all out getting a tux with
tails to look his best. He has to be the best looking man at
any party he goes to ALWAYS. He's too proud to talk to the others
so he turns his back on them. He should be watching out for Davon
though, but he figures his boss will keep him busy. What's funny
is that Owen brought a top hat. He sure can't wear it so it's
funny he'd be carrying it around. Lastly poor Solan. He's just
there to watch out for Davon's "safety". He's the only
one that can't relax and enjoy the party. He even brought his
briefcase. He doesn't trust Thanatos nor should he so even though
his master isn't paying much mind to him, he has Solan's full
attention. I had a blast coloring this and I wanted it to be
set in an 80s style bar. I love all the bright colors in this
pic. I also like that you can see the difference in hight between
them all with Owen being the tallest and Thanatos the shortest.
Owen is 6'3", Davon is 6'1", Solan is 5'11" and
Thanatos is 5'9". |
 |
This drawing was inspired by the Four
Bad Boys pic above. I call this one May I Have This Dance.
This is a scene from that same party. Owen got bored with the
others and decided to hit the dance floor instead. He would since
he'd be the center of attention. And he is a good dancer. What
would be be dancing? Probably ballroom or tango. And he still
has that hat. It's so funny. This is such a stark contrast from
the Owen Pained series because he's so out of character and actually
having fun. It's almost as if he's forgotten he's got his fire. |
 |
This one
is called Lead and Brimestone. It too is TOTALLY out of
character. Lead and Brimestone is the name of the band and fits
all the characters with Thanatos being the Lead since he loves
to tote his guns around. Of course the four of them could never
cooperate like this to form a metal band but I thought it would
be neat to see them out of their usual outfits and since metal
inspires me so much I had to pay a little homage to it. Owen
HAD to be the lead singer. He'd want to be the front man to get
all the attention like always. He'd have clear vocals. Not quit
power metal. He can't hit those super high notes but he'd sound
like the singer from Meduza. Solan had to be on drums. Since
he's the sun he would be the band's time keeper. I think his
suit was the most fun and creative for me to make. I love his
earth tones but they still have bright highlights of turquoise.
He's the only one that seems to be enjoying the music for what
it is. The other three have other reasons for being there. I
had to put his blacksun symbols from his Mayan days on his drums.
Thanatos got Keyboards. He's the most modern of the four so he'd
have the latest intrument to hit the scene. And don't you even
dare to tell him that keyboards don't belong in metal because
he's got his AK-47 right behind him hidden beneath the cables.
I had to put symbols on his keyboard that would reflect his love
of money and power. It's too bad there wasn't a gun icon. His
outfit is more black metal than power metal but it's still cool.
Lastly Davon. He's in a traditional leather jacket. He always
loves the older ways and he had to be the guitarist no doubt.
After all it's said that the guitar (and the violin) is the instrument
of the Devil. They are all his instruments if you ask him though.
I don't know much about guitars but I gave him a B C Rich Beast.
I saw his monster at a guitar store once and if I ever were to
take up that instrument I would get a Beast. No other guitar
I would want. It's so evil looking.
Now there's an
interesting story behind this pic. Davon still wants Owen's fire.
This is a live concert they're playing at when suddenly the guitar
goes silent. Of course you can't stop when you're playing live.
Owen looks back for a moment to see what's going on and sees
Davon kneeling with his back turned by the amp. He figures Davon's
plug came out and he's fixing it. It happens so he just keeps
singing and turns his attention back to his adoring crowd. Now
Owen's still a jerk and the other band members don't like him.
Well there was nothing wrong with Davon's guitar. He was down
there making a noose out of the cables. He's about to tap Owen
on the shoulder and you can imagine what he'll do next when Owen
turns around. What I think is funny about this is that Solan
and Thanatos aren't doing anything to stop this. It's great!
He's going to kill Owen in front of everyone.

I've started fooling around with space
art. I wanted to draw Sorath with his angry sun behind him and
think this drawing came out extremely well. |
 |
This is the longest it's ever taken me
to color anything. I spent four days on this. It was such a pain
but it finally paid off. I made each planet from scratch in photoshop.
Earth and Mars gave me the hardest time. Mars I had to erase
and start over on many times. What's different about this drawing
is that I tried a new technique where I've colored in almost
all the black lines. The only black lines that didn't go where
on Sorath's head. I couldn't make them any other color that would
look right. But on his body and on the rock he's on it's all
colored in. I need to practice this technique more and I'm sure
I'll get better over time. I love how his gold feathers/scales
on his neck turned out as well as his head dress. The star background
was one of the easier things to make. Sorath is on a bit of a
power trip and letting the planets around his tail fly like mad
around him. But being the second in command of the universe you
can't blame him. |
 |
This is the best drawing of Thagirion
I've made so far. It took me several hours to complete and that's
just the coloring part. I was asked by a friend for a Halloween
drawing that had to have at least one pumpkin in it. So I decided
to draw Thagirion holding one. I learned some new coloring techniques
and for the first time Thagirion looks close to how I envision
him as a combination of melting magma and glossy ink like skin. |
 |
This is
a real aweful situation for Sorath. He's in a battle with his
worst enemy Afotos and he doesn't stand a chance. Afotos found
Sorath on one of his astaral jaunts and chased him back to the
night side of the Earth. They landed in ancient Egypt and the
battle enused on a platue above the desert. Out classed and out
gunned Afotos took him down with his powers of gravity and absorbed
anything that Sorath could throw at him. Notice Sorath only has
five of his ten planets on his tail. If Sorath hadn't summoned
Thagirion to his aid he would have been done for.
The new coloring
technique is still hard for me and this one took me several hours
as well. I'd say two days. What was interesting was that when
I colored the sky, I hadn't planned on there being a black hole.
I only drew the stars and the two nebulas. But when I added the
clouds it looked like a blackhole so I figured I'd just go for
it. So I added more blue streaks to really make it look like
a blackhole. It's just amazing that this drawing basically made
itself and guided me to add that. Kinda freaky, almost as if
I were impowered by Afotos himself. And apart from Sorath's head
again no black lines. I think I did much better with the coloring
of the lines than I did of the one with Sorath and his planets.
