| I am THRILLED with how this drawing turned out. I drew this and finished it on the 31st and colored it today. So it's both a 2007 and 2008 drawing. I have one more in the works that was drawn on the 31st and is to be finished hopefully soon. Anyway, I really don't know what's going on in here. I wanted to draw Solan using his powers and in a cool pose but I messed up. But I loved the expression on his face so I kept drawing and let my hands do the walking. I wanted to see what would turn out with what I had. This is what came out. So now I have a cool drawing with no backstory. He could be in his office playing with his powers but that would be totally out of character for the stiff personality boss type guy he is. Perhaps he's proving to someone that he really is the Sun God. In that case he'll be in huge trouble if Davon finds out. Solan is usually very serious and rarely smiles. So it's a nice change to see him like this. So he's gone and made a miniature sun. A sunball as I'd like to call it. Can you imagine if he threw that? EEP! I think he's only made it to cast light which is happening quite well. I loved how the effects turned out on this. Coloring the eyes is my favorite thing for my characters and I usually do that last. I had fun making the sun glow as well. I like shinny colors and rays everywhere. If any of you have an idea for a backstory for this please let me know. |
